im just looking at every option for 24 bit lately

i was looking at one in particular, and he offered it to me for $1400,i declined

1500 for me--told him i sold one for 800 two years ago.  didn't hear back.

i think i would be too, and at 1400-1500 for an ad2k i wouldnt even think twice about going with a v3

that depends, i was offered 2 before i went with the mme, one had the crystal and board replaced recently and was under warrantly from apogee for another year, and he wanted 700 and the other was a platinum ad1k and he wanted either 6 or 650 for it

fair price for a 1k, no new wc, no new digital board, but good cosmetics, honestly, = 300 or so.

new clock, no new board, = 400/500

new clock, new board = 600 max.


my opinion, based on lots of buying, selling, looking, etc. and if you factor in that apogee won't fix them or apparently supply prodig with parts, maybe even less. I wouldn't advise anyone to get one. The problems and expense you are guaranteed to have at some point, sooner or later, will outweigh the hassles of the mme, assuming that you are after that uv22 sound.

I paid 1000 for mine about a year ago. It was a year old at the time, and the guy that sold it to me included 2 7amp/hr batts (12v) and 1 5amp/hr batt, and the 12v smartcharger.
He also included the shipping... from milwaukee>Los angeles...

At the time i thought i did really well but this thread is making me feel like i overpaid
