Title: Thumping sound on the Sennheiser Evolution G3
Post by: toddboyle on April 30, 2013, 02:29:23 PM
The G3 has been a reliable mic set; on rare occasions I've gotten some background hash, perhaps from RFI.  Now however, I've gotten something different... a periodic boomy sounding 'thump', pretty loud! as loud as the speaker's voice.

There was another transmitter on the podiium, a Samson perhaps a "series one"?  running on a frequency that was 50Mhz above my frequency.   Is it actually possible my receiver is so stupid as to be affected by that?    Or do those Samson transmitters range up and down the spectrum so far as to hit my receiver?   TIA for any tips.
