Have any of you tried more than one of the following USB-powered condenser cardioids?
I'm doing a lot more Skype, Ventrilo, Fideliphone, Teamtalk, podcasting etc. and am often too lazy to wire up a pre and mics. I just want something good sitting on the desk, ready to use. I definitely don't want boomy bass or over-hyped highs, and hopefully something that comes with a pop filter and decent side/rear rejection. Do any of these approach semi-pro quality? I really do want to stand head and shoulders above the boomy, spitty nasally masses here. :-)
Some googling turns up these options:
Audio-Technica offer the ATR2500, ATR2100 and AT2020. Blue Microphones have the Snowball Ice and Yeti. CAD have somethin gcalled the U1. MXL have the Tempo KR.
Have any of you tried a few of these and what would you recommend?
thanks!
Chris
