DIY Microphone case from M&M Mini's Megatube
« on: January 22, 2006, 05:32:45 PM »
I needed a smaller, lighter case to carry my new Peluso's and I had these M&M tubes and film canistor's lying around, so I made this..

See the whole process, beginning to end here... http://fecundswamp.peanutonastring.com/mic_case/index.html

I want to carry as little weight as possbile without having everything banging around and getting damaged. The giant mic case that comes with the Peluso kit is nice, but it is huge. I had moved them to a "gun case" style mic case, but even that is too big. These will fit perfect! Thought I would share my creation for mockery or amazement :)

thank you,
michael

Then: Nakamichi CM300/CP-1/2/4 + Soundboard -> Audio-Technica AT4462 -> Sony TC-D5M
Now: Avantone CK-40 + Avantone CK-1 (Busman MOD) -> BusR4 (T+NF Mods)
Backup/Stealth: Sennheiser MKE > CA-9100 > Tascam DR2D

Those are very cool and they look like they get the job done.

I need something that will work for my huge-ass AKGs.  Something like a Mongoloid M&M mini case.  I've been trying to find something to put the mics in so I can store them in my Nova5 bag, but I've come up empty handed.
