I use 2 DPA adapters and my DPA4060mics plugged into 2 x3.5mm female stereo.WHY do both channels record when only 1 mic is plugged in?What signal is being recorded? Is it dual mono or what?thx

Is it dual mono or what?thx Its because these adaptors short out the tip and ring. So your shorting out the tip and ring on your headphone adaptor.. Also the iriver does not put out enough power to operate these mics correctly.Chris

Also the iriver does not put out enough power to operate these mics correctly.Chrisi know my dpa need 5V at least and tested the same adapters with my 12V bbox as well with the same results.are there different 3.5mm y-cables which can solve this problem and forward separated l+r channel to the iriver?
