I need to build a rack for my V3
« on: February 19, 2004, 05:39:50 PM »
I have seen some people mention racks they bought at Target. Are these dish racks?? I have looked a couple times but haven't seen anything that resembled what I'd need.

I was also thinking about making a case out of wood. Anyone do this? I'm running 140's so I need enough room for the KM100 bodies .

I see people making cables on here, anyone making racks/cases for V3's??

Thanks for the help.

Why do you need/want a rack?  Just wondering if there are alternative solutions to your problems which might be worth exploring.

i run the exact same setup in a mountainsmith cairn bag.  i keep my slas laying on their side on the bottom and all my cables have right angle connectors so i can sit the v3 on top of the slas.  i keep my km100s in a pelican 1600 case at all times and have a hole drilled on the left side for the active cables to come out and a hole on the right side for the xlrs to come out.  if you'd like i can snap some pics to give you an idea what i'm talking about.

Ooooo...that reminds me, I want to do something similar with my CMC6 bodies!

i copied rabhan's design and it works great... it makes setup / teardown a breeze.
