After my last outing I wasn’t able to loosen the bottom knob that loosens the connection to the center pole that allows the stand to close. The knob turns but doesn’t loosen the clamp type piece attached to the center pole. Anyone had a similar issue or can think of any solutions?
Made for an interesting Lyft drive back home after the show.

Photos? I'm not sure I'm picturing the problem correctly...
Typically if it moves and it should not, use gaffers tape (duct tape if you must) and if it's the other way, use WD-40 to make something move that won't.
That said, if there's a little piece of tape stuck on the tube, it could be getting caught in the mechanism, and preventing movement. Try extending the legs farther out, to see if you can get them unstuck?

Here’s a general picture showing the area that is stuck. The knob at the marked section will turn, but the piece that surrounds the center pole that the knob squeezes/releases won’t budge.

Did you over-torque the knob on the collar taking the center tube out of round? There are fairly tight tolerances on the tube clearance, so once they get out of round, the collar can get stuck. Use a rubber mallet and see if you can get the collar to move in either direction.

It looks like I over-torqued it. When I turn the knob it turns the bolt head on the other side along with it, which prevents the tension on the collar from being released. I tried giving it a good smack in either direction with no success. Couldn't find the WD-40 first time around the house, gotta give another look and see if that sorts things out.

WD-40 didn't do the trick. Next thing I'm going to try is to break the knob and see if replacing it works.

Thanks very much.
Found a R1051,40 Handle Assy. for my 1004BAC stand. Nice.
