I've been meaning to pickup some 1/8" diameter techflex for re-rigging a few setups and re-jacketing some permanently attached DPA 4060 mic cables on which the jacket is cracked and falling off in chunks.
I think I'll use the Flexo-noise-reduction type. Reduced fabric noise will be beneficial, but I'm also thinking that its softer "hand" will make for improved comfort in body-worn applications where it is in contact against skin.
NR is used in body wiring harnesses, instrument panel and lighting wiring, cable & hose assemblies, and other limited access applications where noise reduction is desirable...
The special hybrid construction suppresses noise from loose harnesses moving against body or dash panels. It has a soft and flexible feel, reminiscent of old style cotton loom. Link to NR on techflex website-

F6 Quiet is the split-tubing configuration which uses the same material.
Also of potential interest, while checking out Wirecare.com I came across a texflex variant which offers EMI shielding- Flexo Shield
HIGH PERFORMANCE ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERFERENCE SHIELD
It is an expandable, high performance sleeving that provides a high level of EMI (ElectroMagnetic Interference) shielding. Flexo Shield is cut and abrasion resistant, very flexible, strong and lightweight. With its high temperature aramid fiber core and special construction, Flexo Shield expands to fit over plugs and connectors and contracts back down for a perfect fit. Flexo Shield is great for applications where light weight and high performance are needed. https://www.wirecare.com/manufacturers/techflex/flexo-shield
