Cigar Caddy by Otterbox - Microphone storage
« on: March 19, 2008, 07:36:26 PM »
Stumbled upon this case on eBay a while back.  Finally bought one and it arrived today.  Paid just under $20.00 shipped.  Best storage option I've ever found for mics.  Takes up no room in the bag and offers crush-proof protection.  No humidor.  Just foam.

Dimensions:

Exterior  8.80"x 3.10"x 1.70"
Interior  7.88"x 1.97"x 1.17"

Mics pictured are Audio Technica AT3031's.  Their dimensions are 5.67" long, 0.83 (21mm) diameter

I need one of those smoke caddy things for festies also....by day 2 my smokes look like a wadded up peice of paper shoved in my pocket.  I've had people ask to bum a smoke...see what I have to offer and say..."uh nevermind"

Wow, good find on this...
It's nice and small, too bad Pelican doesn't make one like this.

I just picked one up to check out, and noticed they also have 5 & 10 capacity boxes.

thanks for posting up the pics +T.

I've been looking for something like this myself, so thanks for posting!!

The closest in size I see for the Pelican's are the 1030
http://www.all-pelican-cases-4-less.com/detail_pelican_1030.html

Inside Dimensions (L,W,D):
6-1/2 x 2-3/4 x 2-1/16
Outside Dimensions (L,W,D):
7-1/2 x 3-7/8 x 2-7/16

Or here is their size comparison chart/link

I measured, and I believe I can fit a set of 140's and a set of 150's in the 1 case.  I'll just add a small foam divider...+T for the extra cool find   8)

I'm so glad you did this.  I was going to ...but I was to lazy.

I guess I need to order another one.

anyone seen anything like the "cigar caddy" for a wine bottle?  The LSD2 needs a good secure home.
