The cable cooker!

Thought your cables were fully burned-in?  Not if you don't have a cable cooker.
Who's going to be the first to plunk down $800 for one of these?

Well, I guess if you're paying $240 for a piece of wood, $7000 for a volume knob, and $30,000 for speaker cable... spending 800 dollars on a box to break-in your shit doesn't look so bad.

Hey Rick,

I believe that IRON CHEF on the Food Network has scheduled a Cable Cookoff sometime in March!

Come to think of it, The Food Network is a cable cooking network...

One final thought, why bother to have a standard version for $130 less. This cable cookerdoes not appear to be designed for the "I need to cut corners" crowd. ::)

I think Enron used the prototype version, "The Book Cooker" and look how well that worked for them!

Those brilliant pebbles are... well..  brilliant!

Here's a tool to use in post on your recordings.  Plugin's from Sonic Finger.
I especially like the VSV (Virtual Studio Visitor).  Read the customer comments for full details.

I'm looking for partners to help promote my new and proven product: Sonic Air (tm).
Sonic Air was discovered in my office when it was noticed that during the signing of certain Mortgage papers, that the air quality was slightly altered by the combination of CO2 emitted and the very specific chemical change brought on by what is now scientifically accepted as "Mortgage Stress". While "Mortgage Stress" and it's effect on the air had been recognized for some time, it was only while setting up for our "Grand Opening", that it was noticed by all, (we can certainly get testimonials)that every time somone came in to sign papers, the sound of the music playing was noticably enhanced. One patron was heard to comment "for a moment I thought I had been transferred to La Scala".

Well, we have found a way to capture and save this production phenomenon, and nowwe can offer the public their first chance to buy and capture "amazing audio sound"...

I'm in....who else??

I've noticed that when I remove the shrink wrap from new CD recordings, if I use a genuine Swiss Army knife the sound on the CD is enhanced somewhat. If I just use my finger nails, the sound is duller. Also If I open them when I'm sitting on the toilet with my finger nail, they sound falls somwhere between the enhanced and dull sound. I haven't tried using the genuine Swiss Army knife on the toilet yet... I'll let you know how that goes...

You'll want to be extra careful.

Don't ask.

Those rocks and finger links are awesome. I'm sure the burning in thing has truth. It is sort of over my head though. I can almost grasp that stuff. The problem is that I cannot see myself ever having the resources to be perfect with every section of recording through playback. As a matter of fact I have been listening mostly to MP3's on my iPod in the last year. As long as I can hear the lyrics and notes the songs sound good to me.  ;D
ISO: your recordings of The Slip, Surprise Me Mr. Davis and The Barr Brothers. pm me please.
