Title: Volume editing in Soundforge?
Post by: su6oxone on July 13, 2008, 08:52:52 PM
I've read some threads about using envelope to smooth out volume levels that need it due to adjusting input levels in the middle of a song, but is there a way in Soundforge to adjust the volume of a segment by a specific % at the beginning and at the end and linearly in between?  That is, if I raised input levels from 15 to 30 on my R-09 in the middle of a song, I'd like to select the section where the input level is increased, and increase the start of the section by, for example, 200% and the end of the section by 0%, and linearly in between so that the volume increases by a progressively decreasing amount from beginning to end so that the final product is roughly the same volume.  Cool Edit Pro used to be able to do this but I'm not sure if SoundForge can do this as well.  Thanks for any info!

edit: nm, I just used Cool Edit Pro 2.1 and it works great.  I do prefer it to Soundforge in a lot of ways.
