tight cable fit with schoeps ortf bar
« on: November 22, 2006, 06:59:15 PM »
Found the Schoeps ORTF bar's cable slots quite tight and fear I might damage the cable forcing it in there. Has anyone filed those openings and should I worry about the cable being damaged or is it sturdy enough?

My Schoeps ORTF bar was snug, too.  Stressing the cable / connector junction always seemed like a bad idea, so I always slotted the cables through by pulling / pushing strictly on the cable, and not the connector.  Never had any problems.  YMMV.

My ORTF bar is a perfect fit, however my DINa Kwon bar is a nightmare. One side is virtually impossible to fit a capsule  in. Where/How would anyone suggest filing?
