I cleaned out my storage locker after having it for 3+ years and found my old JB-3.
I thought it was loong gone and threw away to power cord and there were not batteries in the box.
Could I open the unit up and remove the HD and put it in an enclosure? would a PC recognize it as a regular external HD or is it formatted in a way that it wouldn't show?
I know there are a few shows on there that I'd like to get off......
might see if I have a Radio Shack power adapter that will fire this old thing up........
then to tackle the damn cumbersome Creative transfer software.....
all these new little recorders make the JB-3 seem Ancient!!

Hey Tim,
I have power cords, USB and Firewire and still use my JB3 for Soundboard. I'd be happy to to transfer the files off your JB3 to a DVD blank. Shoot me a PM. You could stop over my house even and I could do it pretty quick.
I don't know about removing the HD and being able to get your PC to recognize. Helping you the other way seems more simple ;)

No problem Tim, I'd be glad to help. I just updated my JB3 after having a problem with Nomad Explorer not connecting all of a sudden. I have it ready to roll now so hit me up whenever you're ready, I have all the necessary accesories to transfer files off the JB3.
