Broken 1/4" tip stuck in R-44. Help!
« on: February 18, 2013, 08:15:49 PM »
So the tip of a 1/4" adapter broke off in one of my inputs on the R-44.  I need to get it out, hopefully myself.  Tried to take the deck apart but after removing 5 screws, it didn't easily come apart so I stopped there.  The part stuck in there is the tip beyond the ring on the plug. Suggestions or thoughts? Thanks- Chuck

So there were side screws that had to be removed.  However, now the door for the sd card is blocking removal.  Anybody know how that is attached?

Fixed it.  There was a screw holding the door in place.  Once I got the case apart I was able to insert a dental pick to push the piece out.  Everything appears to be working.
