I cancelled the order.  BEWARE!  Avoid BandH at all costs.  I shit you not emailed em last week and got the answer again.  4 weeks.  That would have made the total wait 10 weeks for these mics.  That's if they would even deliver on the 4 week thing.  I figured it was a sign and cancelled the order.  So far BandH is 4 for 4.  All 4 orders cancelled because of the same thing.  No delivery.  I don't get how they get business.  Seriously.

Did you get a pair from anywhere else then, or are you still on the hunt for a pair?

Were these all special orders, or stocked items?

Dirk linked a pair on ebay going for 799.  No one even bid on them.  They were new stereo pair.

As stated earlier though, these prices are probably gone for good.  Frontendaudio is charging 999, and after talking with Warren about the price he pays, this is VERY reasonable.  Given their performance, it's a steal.

That same pair has been relisted for the same price... I'm hoping sometime in the new year a used pair will pop up somewhere... looking forward to trying these out maybe for festivals next summer if they sound nicer than the ck61's... always keeping the ck63's since I haven't heard a better hyper.

Nothing wrong with hoping.  Just don't hold your breath... >:D

I have yet to see a used pair show up ANYWHERE (and believe me, I've been looking daily for the last 8 months in every conceivable place...!)

Closest I came was a single on Ebay about 3 months ago.

Finding them used is quite a task.  I would imagine it's because once people hear how good they sound they're reluctant to sell them.

Not saying that they won't show up on the used market, just saying your best bet is to just buy new (hell, you get the warranty and all that anyway.  it's worth it!)

No. First was a bag.  listed as in stock.  Second was a stand listed in stock, 3rd was a thread adapter listed in stock and lastly these mics which said special order but a 7-14 business day wait not 10 weeks.   :o

For now I'm gonna play around with the Gefells.  Maybe down the road.

I guess these are just hard mics to track down.  They're worth it if you can catch up with a pair- I was amazed

Not hard to get.  Just that price on B&H is what is screwy.  From my talks with a reputable dealer, with the changing euro/dollar rates, he can't even get them from the factory for the price B&H is advertising for sale.

Anyone dealer selling these for a grand (there is at least one that I know of), consider that a steal.  List is around 1300-1400 with price going nowhere but up in the future.

Fantastic mic.  I ran some comps the other weekend with my sto-2's, an adk ld (not the tl but the fixed card one), MXL ld (don't know the model #), adk sc-2 on an acoustic guitar, a Martin.  The mc930's were light years ahead of everything.  It was amazing the difference.  Everyone in the room noticed it.  The sto-2's were nice, but not as nice as I was hoping for on the guitar.  The 930's exceeded my expectations.

Surprisingly, the MXL was not as shitty as we thought it would be.  Definitely much brighter with a seemingly large high freq. boost though.

Sorry to hear about your experiences, but I've had nothing but A+ service from B&H. I've ordered literally dozens of times, and never had anything but wonderful results.
