Bands on A51-Tl Shockmounts Break

I have had my TL's since july. When I was seting up to tape nassau I broke one of the bands on the shockmount. It came apart at the joint so its important to pay attention when seting up. The folks at adk where nice enough to send me a couple of replacements. I will now have a spare just in case. This is just a heads up for Tl owners they might want to score extra bands

I was wondering why the band was over the handle. The folks at adk sent me 3 bands. I have extras to carry with me on the road

I believe that currently, all mic kits come with an extra set of bands.

myself and at least 2 others I know of that purchased since October didnt get any extra bands...

I didn't get any extra bands (purchased at the beginning of December)

Hasn't been a problem yet, though...

i purchased some only two weeks ago and i didn't get any extra bands.....

like lee i haven't had problems and they seem pretty rugged.

i just got a matched pair of A51tl's, and they were suppose to come with the supermounts, but they were out of them so they sent the regulars till they get'em in. But there were no extra bands they sent maybe because they are sending the supermounts, i don't know. Lee have you ran yours for anything yet?  ;Dmike

Hmmm... very weird.
I suggest you Email ADK from the ADK website and get some spares just in case, although all the shockmounts made after 2002 (should) have much thicker bands.
The last units that went through my hands had spare bands, and were rather thick.
