Has anyone had any experiences with the Sony HDR CX110? Good or bad for concerts?

I doubt it would be low lux enough for concert recording
based on my research
and my thread here:http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=140552.0 (http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=140552.0)

as it was one of the 3 camcorders I was considering

now perhaps

or

maybe previous model :  no info easily found on the pany site but it's here: http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-HDC-SD600K-High-Def-Camcorder-Wide-Angle/dp/B003QHXZTC/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I1EA176CQKZY0&colid=3KG9B3IHZ05QD (http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-HDC-SD600K-High-Def-Camcorder-Wide-Angle/dp/B003QHXZTC/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I1EA176CQKZY0&colid=3KG9B3IHZ05QD)

of course I have never used any of these - purely on wanting a 1/2" sensor and 3 CMOS is better than 1 cmos

also if you in for a sony
looks at this thread: http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=140412.0 (http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=140412.0)

Has anyone had any experiences with the Sony HDR CX110? Good or bad for concerts?

There are 2 other models that are indentical to your CX110 where only the storage options differ. The optics, picture quality and recording features are the same.

Sony HDR-CX110 - no inbuilt storage  - must provide own SD storage
Sony HDR-CX150 - 16GB of in built storage (flash memory) + slot for SD storage
Sony HDR-XR150 - 120GB of in built storage (hard drive) + slot for SD storage

If you go on YouTube and search for CX110, CX150 or XR150 you'll find a few concert footage videos.

Some people have reported issues when recording loud concerts with the XR150 (hard drive version). Apparently vibrations from the kick drum may cause recording to stop. This can be overcome by recording direct to the SD card instead. Consequently, the CX110 is not affected.

None of these models have a microphone input so you'll need to rely on the in-built mic or record audio separately.

Manual controls (exposure, focus etc) are all controlled through the LCD screen, but this is common for entry level camcorders.

Make sure your PC can handle AVC-HD content. The camera shoots in 5 quality modes... HD-FX mode is 24Mbps which results in very large files and you'll need a reasonably spec'd computer to edit and play it.
