Anybody here ru one of these?  Saw one in the Rig Pics section.  Jesus that thing is a whopper!

Get in contact with Nick Georges, NicksPicks.  If I look, I think I have a couple shows he sent me done with that mic. PM me and remind me to check when I get home this evening.  If I find them, I am sure I listened to them so you can have them.

Close, but not exactly...thye are housed in one body, but they are adjustable to provide from 0 to 180 degrees angle between the caps.

and have a spearate box to select the polar patterns

hey now...
it is basicly two c414 mic capsules (ck12, I belive) mounted coincident.  It does XY of variying degrees, M-S and blumlein.
Great mic.
However, I think the small diaphram c34 stereo mic sounds better.  My ear just favors the small diaphram sound over the big ones.
Still, i'd own another c422 in a heartbeat.  I've pulled some pretty nice stuff w/that sucker.  Great stage mic.
