ADK V & H HPF...
« on: November 05, 2003, 05:55:48 AM »
Hi gang,

Next year's ADK Vienna and Hamburg editions will have two way pads (-10/-18) and it loks like a two way HPF would be cool too. That way, prox. effect compensation can be done at the mic, before the output transfo, and you need less EQ later on.

So, definitely first order filters, but at what frequencies?

Personally, I'm thinking 100Hz (typical just over one foot away from the mic for linear bass) and ~160Hz (not quite an octave above, great for close up vocals etc.).

What do you guys think? Perhaps the typical AKG 75/150Hz; or 100/200, or what?

Cheers,

JP

I’ve had a few weird experiences and a few close brushes with total weirdness of one sort or another, but nothing that’s really freaked me out or made me feel too awful about it. - Jerry Garcia
