Title: Running a V2 from a SLA charger?
Post by: JD on June 08, 2008, 09:38:52 AM
I want to run my V2 for the first time for a festival next weekend (only had it three months now). Got some power questions. It came with two eco-charge Bp-50 batteries rated at 6v7.2Ah/20HR, an Eco Charge SC-61 charger and a handful of 4-pin xlr cables.

Now I'm guessing that the batteries are marginal at best because of their age.
At this festival, I will have access to AC.

If I charge the batteries first, can I hook the battery up to the V2 and the charger up to the battery's second plug, essentially passing the current onto the V2?

I can't run the charger directly to the V2 without making a single gender cable up first.

According to the V2 manual it's current draw is .38 to .62A dependent on the mic used.

The charger is rated for 6v at 1 amp.

Anyone see any problems with doing this?
