Hey folks,
I came across this forum because of a number of older posts found about the Apogee Minime. I bought one used and it sounds pretty darn good. Just looking for a battery pack. Being the Minime is an older unit nowadays, I wonder if there might be some newer options for batteries that haven't been discussed earlier?
Is there any reason not to use something like this?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Brand-Super-Power-DC-12V-Portable-6800mAh-Li-ion-Rechargeable-Battery-Pack-/361097965880?hash=item54131db138:g:XR0AAOSwll1WzA4FI'm not as much a taper of live shows as I am into recording my own music and/or ambient outdoor soundscapes.
So, I don't need say 12 steady hours or anything. I suppose if I was worried about the end of a battery's cycle/charge, I could strap a multimeter across it and see what voltage it's at. A lot of talk about on/off switches on here. I get it, they might get bumped and ruin a recording during a show or something. I don't really care about the switch, but that battery above doesn't have one anyway. Is there something else to look out for? (I'm very handy at soldering and DIY'ing things) I'll get the polarity correct.
I guess this post is mostly to solicit questions or opinions I'm not thinking of. Seems like those ebay cheapies are a pretty good deal?
What is this Wally World battery I keep hearing people mention? Anybody have a link?
