anyone tested these side-by-side for runtime?
given the physical constraints of li-ion cells, in Wh/cc, i find it hard to beleive that they can cram 33% more power intot eh same space. i got a power hungry piece of gear that gets 2 hours out of a 3350, was considering a 3450 or a 3450+add-on cell. i imagine with the add-on cell, you get a little more than the runtime of two individual batteries used successively as the current drain is cut in half.

How many Watts is your gear pulling? What is the Voltage it's running at?
The MP3300 is rated at only 40Wh while the MP3450 is rated at 50Wh
Since your only getting 2 hours runtime you must be pulling about 20W. With just a MP3450 you should only get about 20% more run time (or about 2 hours and 24 minutes) - with the add on you should be able to double this (4 hours and 48 minutes).

18W
120VAC thru a 12V inverter
I actually got 2:39 last night on my second try

Anyone know how many watts a Portico 5012 pulls? I have a 3350 I was thinking of using with the 5012, but I'm not sure if it would work. here is what I got from the Neve site regarding the 5012. I plan on running at 12V.
Main Power Required: (From External Power Unit) Voltage Range, 9 to 18 Volts DC.
Current consumption: @ 9VDC = 1.3 A typical
@12VDC = 1A typical
@15VDC= 800 mA typical
@18VDC= 650 mA typical
