Title: Splitting a 1/4 line signal
Post by: Chanher on October 12, 2004, 03:43:05 PM
I'm doing a multi-track recording of my buddy and I need an individual feed from his Boss RC-20 looper pedal. He only has one output that is probably going to the board.  Unfortunately the board does NOT have line outs for each individual track.  My buddy suggested getting a splitter. Does anyone know if there is signal quality loss if the 1/4 output (seeing that it is a guitar pedal, I believe it is mono, correct me if wrong, the rc-20 specs don't provide that info) is split into seperate 1/4 signals?  thanks a bunch!

depends on the length of the run, over longer runs you are going to see problems, in the shorter runs you may be able to get away with it.

+t, I believe it should be under 8 ft.  I might just have to run some tests...

yah try it out, if the difference is going to be there you are going to notice it immediately.
