I've seen kwon bar schoeps rigs set up this a way..
what is it called when they're spaced approx 30-40cm at about 110*??
anyone know the proper distsance and angle? or term for the technique?
I am thinking of running onstage tonight for a 6 piece bluegrass band and need some guidance.
Thanks so Much!

NOS is 30cm, 90 degree angle. Which should work ok for on-stage omnis, though you might want to separate the caps a bit further apart if that is a possibility.

I thought NOS was for Cards?
Should i try A/B? spaced omni aimed directly at the source?
thanks!!

Yeah, split omni's on stage sound sweet.
I've gone from 3ft to around 10 stage lip with my omni's.
I've been itching to try a healy method stage tape, but have not had the chance yet.

Yes, technically NOS is for cards, but you could run omnis in an NOS configuration. Theoretically, the only thing causing a stereo image in this case is the separation, not the angle of the mics. But in reality, most omnis are directional at higher frequencies, so you'd be better pointing them at the source instead of say pointing them to the ground.
