Post by: bagtagsell on February 10, 2005, 12:47:06 AM
so I'm borrowing/trading a d100.  Running it from a modsbm-1.  Is it always on?  How does that affect battery life?  Any tips for someone new to dat?

bags;

if you power it with AA's, then it will go to sleep after 5 minutes of no activity. if you power it with an external, it will not.

check the Remote Power for some great runtime info via external power supply and internal batts.

here are few runtimes from personal experience with my d100:

(recording time only, no lights)
1. energizer lithium: 5.5hrs
2. standard duracells: 1.5hrs
3. lenmar 2450mah aa: 4+ hrs
4. lenmar 2300mah aa: 3+ hrs
5. 4-dcell sled: days
6. 6v 7.2ah sla: days
