Title: Advice sought for mother's day camera
Post by: KLowe on May 08, 2007, 03:36:09 PM
Hey yall,
I need the TSKB advice on a 300-400 dollarish digital camera for a mother's day present.  Something with a large LCD view screen, good quality pics in normal and low light, decent features, EASY to USE!!

It is for my wife as a "purse camera" so she can capture the cute things our son does without having to go find the big camera.

I'd also like to use it for concert pics  >:D

any advice?

Thanks in advance.

Kevin

I'd suggest the Fuji F30.  Its got a nice lcd on the back and does great in lowlight.  I haven't looked at the market to see whats out there, but a few months ago when I got mine, it was one of the top rated cameras out there.  And it should be within your budget.

here's some samples - I took these at the Placebo concert I went to a few weeks back.  I was very very drunk, and I still managed to get a couple of decent shots.
