Title: best mobile power supply for recording??

just wondering what everyone uses as a power source for their equipement when no outlet is available????

i'm using a microtrack and an m-audio preamp... and sorry, I didn't notice the whole section on power sources

there are many different types of power supplies for the many different types of gear that tapers/eng use out in the field..   if this is a specific question about a specific type of equipment you would like to power "remotely", I would suggest listing the make/models of the gear you have.  You will get help quicker.....

for example..  I use these for the two pieces of gear I run "remotely"...

as you can see they are pretty different in configuration and power, which is why I'm suggesting you be specific..

edit:  and..   yeah....    go check the the "remote power" section as well!  hehe   :P   umm  ok..    :-[     this topic is in that section!  duh..

and not sure on which maudio preamp you have (be specific on model name/number), nor am I familiar with battery systems for the maudio units..

sorry.... again i'm new to this.  I'm running a microtrack with an m-audio audio buddy and a pair of akg c1000's.  I have access to a xantrex mobile 100 from my work.  Will that power my set up for 3-4 hours max????
