Audiophile 2496 Troubles
« on: November 02, 2004, 09:08:27 AM »
ok, occasionally (everyday), my 2496 has troubles when trying to playback wavs out of wavelab or cdwave. It makes these weird dungeon type sounds. I go to the website download some drivers and delete the old ones and restart and then install the new drivers and it works for half a day, then repeat process, help?

Sounds kind of like an IRQ conflict or a driver conflict. Have you tried switching it to a different PCI slot?

Have you recently upgraded to Service Pack 2?

I don't know just where I'm going
But I'm gonna try for the kingdom, if I can

make sure you switch back to Internal Xtal in your Hardware Settings after s/pdif transfers. if you don't, you'll hear that deeeep roar during playback.

mine won't play for more than a second at a time if I don't switch it back to internal.
