I just got this email in, hopefully this doesn't mean that it's a year or two away. Although at least the possibillity still exists for 24/96 on the digital in.

Don't believe any specs you read right now. Europe has a habit of
releasing very preliminary, very incorrect specifications.

Do you think he's talking about the Eurpean division of their company, or does all of Europe have a habit of releasing preliminary specs? 
Well that looks like a denial of the specs to me, so hopefully he means something like "yeah europe published something from 6 months ago and they're wrong." In any case, this is probably good news.
