Tascam DA30 MKII error codes

Trying to find out what ERROR 01 means on the above deck. Google isn't being cooperative.

does the tape seem like it is loading properly- i did some research of my own and i think it might be a load error.

I can hear the motors running, but it doesn't sound like its "catching"...best way I can describe it. I've found tons of stuff about ERROR 02, but not much on 01...not giving up yet thoug!  ;)

on the 20 it is a load error, which id assume is the same on the 30- work with other tapes?  it may need a trip up to my buddy paul at pro dig.

I tried about 6-8 different tapes with the same result. Should I plan on bringing it back to you this weekend?

Actually, I think I do have a box. I've got a few I've been holding onto that may just work....I'll keep ya posted.
