so looking at this...a couple more questions come to mind....is there a way to provide a digi out for patching?  is ther ea way to shut off the pretty lights ?

I figured since you cracked it open you already were well enough acquanted to take move right on to the crotching

How beefy is the caselogic case?  Enough to protect from bumps and whatnot?

you can give a digi out or analog out on 1/8 or the mini xlrs all at the same time.  outputs are assignable

lights can be dimmed really far down.  i'm assuming you can shut them off, but i haven't tried.

From the pictures, I would not want to crotch it. The V3 pushes the limit on the size of crotchable gear, this box has even more width. The problem isn't standing with a V3 in your shorts, the problem is when you actually have to walk and then when you have to go up and down stairs. The extra width would probably drive even more into the thighs.

From the pictures, I would not want to crotch it. The V3 pushes the limit on the size of crotchable gear, this box has even more width. as somebody who routinely crotches a v3, together with the 6v sla and a couple of dat decks, the 722 will be a piece of cake!

suggestion...get a pair of bicycle shorts and have some interior pockets sewn on the inner thighs.  helps keep the gear in place when moving around.

the v3 pics are misleading.  it's not wider than a v3, it just looked like that from the angle i took the pictures.  the v3 is actually a little wider

just threw the spandex on and tried it out.  it's heavier than the mp2 but it fits just below the beltline and above the crotch of the pants.  i think it's possible to use this as a full time stealth box

it won't help if you drop it, but it will keep it from scratching and all that

with a dat deck, you hand over the tape (or most people do).

with the 722 might one keep low a capacity cf card installed to surrender?

i've been thinking of bringing in a dat deck to provide backup if the 722 craps out and to have a tape if security asks for it.....
