Anyone who has a guess what brand of capsules Aevox
are using in their miniature omni mics?
http://www.aevox.be/#M2
Their webpage doesn´t say anything or list any specs.
The capsule diameter is about 7mm and the length is about 15 mm (as shown in the picture of the tiny mkii mic).
The competition just started! ;)
Thanks!
/N.

no one has a clue? :(
They sound similar to coresounds CSBs. Could they be the same capsules?

This picture looks like a panisonic, same as the CSB, but I am sure someone here knows for sure....

you could just ask the manufacturer.

A lot of vendors are secretive about what they use. I don't see the reason -- competitors can find out anyway, just open it up and look, and if it is unusual, by carefully looking around DIY websites, etc. That is the cool thing about the web nowadays. Everything is out there if you know how/where to look :).

Hi,
i've mailed Aevox owner some month ago and he told me that the electret capsule is handmade and it is not a product available in the market for everyone ...

That is BS. Very few people actually make their own capsules. Based on this information, I would just stay away. There are lots of other choices.

yup... I´m afraid Richard is right... I have a pair and they sound just like the panasonics! Boomy and flat! :(
They are very pricy for the quality so I must say they were a big dissapointment!
The manufacturer won´t tell what those capsules are. That´s why I´m asking...
