Aevox - Belgian stealth mics?!
« on: June 21, 2008, 01:21:42 PM »
Did anyone ever come across these:
http://www.aevox.be/#M2

I wonder if they would match DPA's or Sennheiser?

Apparently the CLASSIC M MkII stereo don't need phantom power?

I just bought a pair of these but haven't really done any recording with them yet - this weekend I plan on taking them out for a spin
that being said though I am not a music taper but more of a field recordist
so if I post any examples they won't be from live shows
the mics are omni caps that the manu has built to his specs
they run on PIP ~9v
so if you use them with a P48 machine you'll need either a P48->PIP converter like the Audix
or a separate battery box with XLR outs
while they aren't cheap they are around the same price (in USD) as the Nevaton MCE400's
I don't own the MCE400's so I can't offer a comparison
nor do I own a DPA 4060 so I can't compare the Aevox's to those either
PM me if you have any quesitons

small, highly mobile, independent and intelligent.'
