Title: Who likes DIY? I've got a project for you...
Post by: aberg on December 24, 2004, 06:02:30 PM
Hey guys... since a) I'm not in the USA and don't have immediate access to the walmart li-ion battery and b) don't have that much experience building battery packs, I was wondering if anyone out there would want to make something for me and set a price... leegeddy? anyone? Basically what I need is a battery to power both my UA-5 and JB3 simultaneously. I figure the walmart 9v li-ion would do the trick and i would like it to branch off into two separate cables, one that is regulated to 4.5v for the JB3, and the other straight into the UA-5 at 9.6v.... would anybody be willing to do this for me? If so, quote me a price and we'll talk. Thanks.

hmmm...
I was thinking about doing something similar for myself.  If I do it succesfully I could try it for you.  I have never worked with fuses or anything, so it would be trial and error for me.  If I get anything nailed down I'll pm you, and give it ago.

aberg - a bunch of the eBay Li-Ion vendors are actually in and around Toronto so you won't have any trouble getting it shipped to you if you just want to have someone make up the cable/regulator.
