Does anyone know if a short run (6-12") of Canare star quad would work for an AES cable? I need something short and flexible out of the MiniMe. The cable I have now is too stiff.
What makes star quad (4 braids) so popular? I've seen a few two braid cables that are advertised as microphone cable. How many braids is that bumblebee stuff Marc uses? I tried a serach for miagi cable and nothing came up.

the speaker cables I have from Marc are 4 braids, I believe that the mic cable is from the same stock

Thanks. Any idea who actually makes the stuff?

no I don't, sorry...

it might work in a pinch, but you really want a 110Ω rated cable. yes, it's a short run, but why potentially compromise the signal your sending to the capture device. i use the canare and it's really thick and stiff, i think marc said he uses the belden cable.
