Topic: Marantz PMD671 firmware update...

Hi all,

I talked to D&M pro, and they sent me the firmware updates via e-mail. Thus, I did NOT have to send the deck to Marantz!

It appears to show time properly for an 8 gb CF card. Does anyone know of other changes/features of the DSP v.4.30 & MPU v.B0011 updates?

BTW, I do have an Oade ACM unit, so no issues with modded units.

Hope this helps someone considering the update.

Also, if anyone has/had the ACM671, and now runs a OCM661, I would LOVE to hear your opinions on recording quality, and if you feel if you took a step down or not by going to the smaller modded unit.

PMD661 updates are downloadable directly from their website, curious that the the PMD671 update requests you to call or send them an e-mail in order to get the update.

I already contacted marantz and I am waiting for them to come back but I have had some bad experience in the past and I really need this ASAP
