Voice Recorder for Lectures, Meetups and Conferences
« on: January 05, 2013, 06:15:34 PM »
Hello there! I need help in choosing of voice recorder for my situation.

I want to record noisy lectures, cafe conversations, trainings and meetups with clearly audible speeches.
My budget is 100 - 170$.
What's better for this purpose, where we have ambient noise in background (cafe, restaurant, sounds music, people talk etc.) or our recorder is on the desk and in front of it are two or three similar desks full of noisy students? There are different, but quite similar situations.
I have chosen several potential models: Olympus DM-650/670, LS-3, Sony ICD-SX712 and Tascam DR-07MKII.
For example, LS-3 have a slightly higher bit rate than DM-650/670 in PCM and it's better for music recording, but how is it for lectures and cafe conversations?
And how will it behaves on my above situation?
