Semi low pro shockmounts

Hoping to get some lower profile shockmounts to go with the 84s. Suggestions?

Shure A53M.

Nice shocks, good low pro option. Pretty inexpensive, compared to say the schoeps A20S or Rycotes, which acouple other of my favorite shocks, though the Rycotes aren't very low pro.

The Shure "donut" is a very good shockmount, as is also the similar Gefell version - technically, almost as good as a Rycote "Lyre".

The Rycote INV-3 is pretty low profile compared to the larger ones.  The INV-1, 2 and 3 are all smaller and designed for studio use - the INV-4 onwards are larger and are designed more for waving around on a fishpole.

So, for an SDC like the Neumann KM84, KM184, Sennheiser 8000 series and Gefell M300, the INV-3 would be fine.

The shure donut has not performed well for me with my AKG 460/480's.  They do not support the bodies well enough and sag/droop.  I do how ever low them for my actives  ;D

Rycote INV-3 would be your friend.  Easy to fit in the bag, good construction, 3/8 or 5/8 adaptable threading, best shock mounting.  Not the cheapest out there but worth it.

having owned both rycote and donuts, I think the donut has the smallest profile, but the rycote has the best shock protection. They both trounce anything else though (in either category). There isn't a good reason to use the schoeps A20 clone anymore as I see it.

No, not at all, it's designed for microphones from 19mm to 21mm (and I think a 22mm would also fit).
