What is the absolute best hardrive for a JB3?

Somebody mentioned the ones with a buffer perform better battery-wise...?

Yeah, the bigger the buffer, the less the drive has to spin because some info is stored in the buffer. Moving the platter and head is what uses all the power.

Unfortunately, no drive has a buffer big enough to make a difference when dealing with our uses.

that is a touch question.  drives come in different speeds and different buffers so it depends.  higher speeds and higher buffer causes more battery drain so it really depends on what you are looking for

Not sure if all that extra capacity is necessary...

I guess I would want the drive least prone to errors...

A smaller drive would be less (but not by much) prone to errors, as the tracks on the platter are not packed as tightly together.
