Mounting AKG caps when using JK Labs setup?
« on: November 04, 2004, 08:23:42 PM »
Hey Team AKG'ers-

Just wondering what you all use to mount your capsules in the field to do ORTF, XY, DIN etc... when using them with an active JK labs setup.

Take care,
Ben

Lee Williams had a thread about this, I think he made his t-bars from PVC, if I remember correctly.

some folks are using the $chempz and i know robert kwon has offered in the past to make folks DIN, DINa snd such bars for the akg's.  I have also seen someone, don't remember who, using a b&k bar.

I use the Kwon "schoeps" DINa bar with my JK Labs AKG active setup.  The bar holders are just a bit too big for the JK Labs active cable ends, so I need to wrap a loop of duct tape around the base of the actives to get them to fit snugly.
