cdwav error

When dropping a 24 bit file in to CD Wave, I get an error that says File header reports a size that is different than the system reports. Do you want to adjust? Anyone know what this means?

On what recording device was the recording initially saved?  If JB3 or MicroTrack, both devices append a small bit of "junk" data onto the end of the WAV when they save.  Answering Yes (overwrite header) or No (trust header) produces the same result - CDWave strips the junk upon opening, as do CEP/Adobe Audition and Wavelab, and, I assume, other editors.

So, now I've split and saved all my 24 bit files in CDWave, and want to compress to FLAC. I drag and drop the folder into FLAC Frontend and hit encode, and all I end up with are errors. The file compressed to FLAC just fine before I split it up. ???

In the Save dialogue, tick the "Save As Alternate 24-bit Format" checkbox on the right side before you execute the save.
