A couple of matrixing questions.
« on: October 13, 2003, 10:56:56 AM »
Ok so i am thinking of trying this wensday night at Jerry Joeseph in T-town.
I do not want to do it post show. I just think that will be to big of a headache for me right now, so

Is there anyway i could it with my current setup?
skm140s>lc3>warmUA5>jb3
sbd>xlr>warmUA5>jb3
Will that work?

I also have a laptop, but i have a problem with it everytime i have tried to run it in the field. Any ideas?

you may have delay issues depending on how far away the mics are from the sound source

Its in a very small bar. I could probably run onstage if need be.
I was planning on setting up dfc about 10ft back from the pa's.

With wich option.

Just running xlrs out of the soundboard into the ua5.

Will it send both signals to the JB3?

Well, there are only one set of xlr's on the ua-5, so you would need to go sbd->rca->ua5 or sbd->xlr->rca->ua5 unless you think you can run mics->rca...hehe!  You then would set the levels on the mics where you want them, and seperately set the levels on the sbd to where you want/wish they could be.  Then, start phantom power on the mics and assuming signal from the sbd is fine, you should be good to go!
