What type of batteries?  NiMH or alkalines?  Those 9V NiMH seem to be encased in plastic.  Some 9V Alkalines/Lithiums are encased in metal.  The Duralife Li 9V come in two flavors, plastic or metal encasing.  More concerned about the Sax than anything else as it is my goto incoginito unit.

That's something that won't set off the metal detectors!
Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it’s worth.

I have a titanium steel hip which will set off any metal detector. Once I tell them it's my hip, they never bother me, except for airports.

Collectively?  If so, it doesn't suprise me.....the vms is built like a Howitzer.  With right amount of 'stuff' inside, it could easily scatter the parts of a half dozen people around a room.

I was not driving 4 hours to a show to not get in.... and you only live once, why not at least give it a try.

1/2 the time security does not give a shit, so you have nothing to loose.  To them it is job and they get nothing if the show gets taped and they get nothing if you get caught at the gate... so why try hard for $6-7 an hour.

1/2 of stealthing it attitude and 1/2 is balls, so go for it and make it happen

Two recent experiences.

Raconteurs: Liverpool. Watched the main entrance to the venue and there were no searches happening so in I went only to be faced with a lady and gent searching everybody. DAMM!!! So they found the Edrol immediately. Felt honesty was my best option and said it was a recorder and I would take it back to the car. The lady then took it to the manager and when she came back she allowed me in with the statement “well it’s going to be so loud up there it`s going to sound crap anyway so go on” A case of honesty being the best policy?

I suspect if they had found the pre amp and mics it might have been a different story.

Ministry: Manchester wands being used so loaded up all pockets with change but waited late on and chose a bouncer without, kept eye contact and, although pretty thougher search got away with getting my rig in (Mics: AT 853 Rx`s mounted on sunglasses > Church Audio Preamp CA 9100 > Edirol R-09)
