The schoeps are a bit flatter than the Gefell m210's, but other than the 15k+ hz region, both are about the same.

Funny though, considering both have very similar frequency responses, and both have very tight/true off-axis response, I sure like the m210's better.  ;D

Interesting about DSatz's comment on equalizing the km150's.  I guess it makes sense, but with the ease now for me for post processing, I was starting to think that some km150's plus some EQ in post to correct the bass rolloff would be an easy solution to finding more places to use the ak50 caps.  Guess I'll stick with the 210's.

I second the MG210's over both of the sources presented.  ;D

Now that the flood gates are open.....  one BIG vote for the 483's.   What they lack in an active setup like the Neumann's and Schempz they more than make up for with that AKG hyper sizzle!    ;D

The MG210s are the other hyper I am really anxious to try.  Based on my limited exposure to them, they seem to maybe be a bit brighter than the mk41s but a lot less rolled-off sounding than the Neumanns.  Believe me, if I had access to a pair, I'd love to comp them against some mk41s.  So if any of you MG210 users happen to be in the NYC area anytime, give me a shout....

Or if you ever come north give us a shout. There are a lot of us on Team New England that use Gefells. We even joked about renaming it Team Gefell, but it had already been taken and some of the AKG minority on our team objected.
But seriously, since we do have so many gefell users it wouldn't be a big deal at all to let you take them out for a spin. I just got mine back from Germany in May after having them tuned up and matched. ;)

^^^ and that show has been banned. So, er, I'm not sure what the point of the comment was.  I don't think the post said anything about spending $$$ to achieve results.
