what am i doing wrong?  i took one set of files, dumped them into DVD-audiofile and created an .iso.  first of all, the flac24 folder is 1.22GB, and the resulting .iso is 3.8GB.  does that sound right?  i burned the image in nero6 is a dvd-rom(udf/iso) and the resulting disc doesnt play in my player.  if i try to burn it as dvd-rom(iso), it says the image is larger than 2GB and i need to burn as a udf/iso.  i also tried it in roxio, burned fine, but doesnt play in my denon 1920.  i made a 24bit dvd-a using this program back in july, burned fine, and played fine in the same unit, but i can remember if i did something different back then.

thanks in advance

it was less than 3GBs if i remember correctly.
is dvd-rom(iso) the right type of disc to burn?  is udf/iso acceptable for burning the image?

less than 3 gigs as wav, but 3.8 as an iso?  that seems a bit strange to me

can you try creating the image again?  maybe flac choked on something strange?  i really am not sure

I also host DVD-Audiofile on my server.  you can download v0.42 here (I think that's the latest):

Thanks Jason and Scott
I downloaded it again and same thing is happening
"Authoring AUDIO_TS directory "
and hangs there. could it be the flac 24/48 files are bad? Or is it something in the program i need to do different?

Sorry, a bit to quick on the post. It took longer then i remembered, but works.
Somewhere along the line my original ISO that i was working on must have been deleted. I had a particlular show that wasn't working, the size of the ISO was 1.3mg, after redoing the ISO it was 2.3gb
this one works fine.
That being said, can i or should i delete any of the folders associated with the DVD Audiofile folder?
As i read it i can delete the dvd folder?
Thanks
George

i've had this problem the last 2 times i've ran audiofile.  the first time it ran overnight and was hung up on that screen.  last night i let it run 30mins to no avail.  FWIW i was dumping 3 groups of 24/44 wav files.

I can tell you that the 2.3 gb file took about 10mins. Before it went real quick, instantly almost, but was a bad ISO. I've been told it takes a lot to compute and not to run anything else while burning. No tech help sorry.

it won't work on wavs with non-standard headers.  but it'll work on any flac file

right because flac skips the unknown headers...  gotcha.

is there an easy way to strip those headers out without going to FLAC?

I have the same problem like Scooter ("for some reason, this prog will not work w/ .wav files for me.  It just makes the folder and the .iso REAL fast, and they are like 1.5 meg??  Anyone else have this prob??  Seems fo work fine w/ flac's.")

I don't know how to go to FLAC. Any idea?

Thanks, Noam

It's a samsung (I don't have the model # with me) that supports nearly everything  DVD-A, SACD, MP3, CD, DVD, etc...I assume the gap is in the image as I just mount the image using Scott's program and then burn the image with Nero to DVD...

Samsung HD-841...that is the unit I had and it plays all DVD-As back with gaps...it is a buffer issue with those units.  Also exists with the Toshiba 4960 (same unit, just rebranded)

I have the toshiba 4960 and it is kind of random regarding gaps. I mentioned this in the other thread tho. If I add a DVD Picture track to the DVD-A disc when creating the DVDA in wavelab then I DO NOT get gaps in playback. I have tested it a bunch of times and it seems to "fix" the issue of gaps. Can you add a picture track using DVD-Audiofile ?

I get gaps with the audio-DVD creator program with DENON 2910 and with Panasonic S55. Together with the Samsung and Toshiba above, what else remains without player buffer issues? Does this mean I will get gaps with this (DVD-audiofile) program on the same players? DVD-A's a friend burns using wavelab and DiscWelder Steel are gapless on my DENON 2910 and with Panasonic S55.

Noam
