Duracell 2650mah in a Marantz PMD661
« on: December 07, 2012, 01:47:21 PM »
I've been using a set of 4 Duracell 2650mah batteries in my Marantz PMD661 for a couple of years now.  Lately, I have noticed that about 1/2 in to the show, the batteries drop to 1 bar, and remain there for the end of the show.

Then, last night, even after a full night's charge, the batteries dropped level even quicker.   Today I go to refresh them in the charger, and it says "HIGH"  I'm guessing that the batteries have reached their end of life?

Can anyone recommend another set of rechargeable AA's?  I used to use Powermax or Duracell's.  I thought I bought these 2650's from B&H, but the best they sell now is 2450.

Thanks,
Bill

I use 2300mah energizer AAs. They've lasted me going on 3 years and still doing pretty well! I recommend the maha charger that is in the retail section to get the most from your batteries. It's def worth the $50!
