hello.
i was wondering if this is a good method for transfering dat tapes or not and what cables do i need for it.
a friend recommended me to use his set: d100> 7pin cable > spdif conversor for toslink>optical cable >d50.
any thoughts? has someone here tried this kind of transfer?
thanks in advance

If you can get it to lock into the signal then let it fly. I tend to shy away from using my Sony portables for transfers, as I find they are more prone to digital noise and similar flaws, but there's no reason that shouldn't work.
