Suggestions for a newbie??
« on: September 16, 2007, 05:09:07 PM »
I am a newbie to recording.  I've always wanted to do it, but never have.  Anyway, a certain man with an E-Street Band is coming to town and I'd like to record it so I can trade for other shows with friends.  I do not have any equipment as of yet and was wondering what you all would suggest getting.  I am on a budget, so I want the best quality for as little price as possible.  Perhaps someone has some old things they are willing to sell at a good price or people know of certain sites which have discounted equipment.

This would have to be as discreet as possible.  Thanks for your help!

Welcome to the boards.
First thing you should answer, in order to get some help, is: what's your budget?
It really depends on how much you're willing to spend.

Do you want to record loud or more quiet shows (acoustic stuff)? Or both?
