Microtrack 1.4.6 firmware = noise on recordings?
« on: October 13, 2007, 09:52:54 PM »
Ive been using my MT to copy DAT on my Sony R500 via coax

No probs with 1.4.5

Updated to 1.4.6 the other day, and now I get these blocks of digital distortion interminently on the recordings

I wait til the R500 is sending a signal before I hit record in the MT

Using a Kingston II card 4gig

I went ahead and reloaded 1.4.5 and the problems went away

Anyone else seeing this?

cheers- Mike

did you mess with your gear while it was recording?  I had a crappy SPDIF cable which caused diginoise spikes sometimes when I jiggled stuff the wrong way.
