Anyone using the UA5 for intrument recording into software?
« on: September 02, 2003, 05:11:12 PM »
I think I'm going to go with the UA5 as my new AtoD and mic pre-amp. I'm wondering if anyone in the forums uses the UA5 to record instrumentation directly into a computer.

If anyone has, I'd like to pick your brain.

Thanks,
Kevin

It's very surprising that nobody has responded to this post yet.

Although I don't own the UA-5, I know lots of people believe the stock pre-amp section isn't all that good. Lots of them go for the Oade warm or presence modification to bring the pre-amp stage up to snuff.
Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.
